How to make your own natural personal care stuff

How to make your own natural personal care stuff

I’ve personally skipped Wellness Mama’s FOOD recipes because any meat and other animal food products are devastating to our planet’s ecosystems at highspeed but I’ve chosen some of her natural homemade personal care recipes as seen below.

How to make natural shampoo

Natural Homemade Shampoo Recipe:

§  1/4 cup coconut milk (this is my favorite that is organic and BPA free) but any will work UPDATE: a couple of readers mentioned that the canned stuff did not work well for them, but that homemade coconut milk worked great… Depending on your hair type, homemade may be better for you)
§  1/3 cup Liquid Castille Soap (like Dr. Bronners)
§  1/2 of a teaspoon (or several capsules) of Vitamin E oil (completely optional)
§  20 drops of Essential Oils of choice (I’ve used peppermint, lavender, rosemary and orange or combinations of those)
§  For dry hair: add 1/2 tsp olive or almond oil (optional)

How to Make Natural Shampoo:

1.     Combine all ingredients in an old shampoo bottle or jar of some kind (pump soap dispensers and even foaming dispensers work well for this. If you use a foaming dispenser, add 1/4 cup of distilled water)
2.     Shake well to mix.
3.     Keep in shower for up to a month.
4.     Shake before each use.
5.     Use about a teaspoon every time you shampoo.
6.     If you use a foaming dispenser, it also makes a great shaving cream- just dilute with 1/4 cup distilled water!

 DIY: Homemade Mouthwash

citronella, lemon grass, cedar

Nutritionally, you can drink a tablespoon or two of organic apple cider vinegar and eat lots of garlic. Vitamin B1 taken daily is also supposed to help repel insects.
My dogs can tolerate only the smallest amount of essential oils (I use rose geranium) on their collars each week – just one drop – but it's enough to repel ticks. To find the dosage necessary to repel insects, start with a drop or two in your mixtures, and increase the amount as you find you can tolerate (no more than 10-15 drops per ounce of oil). Combining repellent essential oils and/or herbs with a fruit- or nut-oil carrier is a good technique when you want to dab a bit on your skin.

Homemade Insect Repellent Recipe:

10-25 drops essential oil. Try lavender, rose geranium (for ticks), coriander seeds, peppermint, cajeput and citronella
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (optional)

Combine the ingredients in a glass jar; stir to blend. Dab a few drops on your skin or clothing.
Homemade Insect Repellent Recipe 2
25 drops essential oil (see above)
1/4 cup water or organic apple cider vinegar

Combine the ingredients in a glass jar. Shake to blend. Dab some on your skin or clothing.

How to Make Homemade Bug Spray:

Wellness Mama Essential Oil Bug Spray

Wellness Mama Bug Spray Ingredients:

  • Essential oils: choose from Citronella, Clove, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Cajeput, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Catnip, Lavender, Mint
  • Natural Witch Hazel
  • Distilled or boiled Water
  • Vegetable glycerin (optional)

How to Make Homemade Bug Spray:

1.     Fill spray bottle (I used 8 ounce) 1/2 full with distilled or boiled water
2.     Add witch hazel to fill almost to the top
3.     Add 1/2 tsp vegetable glycerin if using
4.     Add 30-50 drops of essential oils to desired scent. The more oils you use, the stronger the spray will be. My personal favorite mix is: Rosemary, Clove, Cajeput, Lavender, Cinnamon and Eucalyptus… it works great and smells good too!

Make Bug Spray From Dried or Fresh Herbs

Fresh or Dried Herbs Bug Spray Ingredients:

  • Distilled water
  • witch hazel or rubbing alcohol
  • dried herbs: peppermint, spearmint, citronella, lemongrass, catnip, lavender, etc. I recommend using at least one herb from the mint family.

How to Make Bug Spray From Fresh or Dried Herbs:

1.     Boil 1 cup of water and add 3-4 TBSP of dried herbs total in any combination from the above. I use 1 TBSP each of peppermint, spearmint, catnip and lavender, and also throw in a couple of dried cloves.
2.     Mix well, cover and let cool (covering is important to keep the volatile oils in!)
3.     Strain herbs out and mix water with 1 cup of witch hazel or rubbing alcohol. Store in a spray bottle in a cool place (fridge is great because then its nice and cool!)
4.     Use as needed. Added bonus: it smells great and is very refreshing to the skin!

Super Strong Insect Repellent Recipe

Fair warning: this stuff stinks when it is wet, though the smell disappears as it dries. It works incredibly well though, and this is the one I use when I’m going to be in the woods or in tick infested areas. It is based on a recipe that was supposedly used by thieves during the Black Plague to keep from getting sick. They used it internally and externally to avoid catching the disease and to keep the flies and other pests away. According to legend, it worked and they survived… but it definitely makes a great insect repellent these days! Its also very inexpensive to make and you probably already have the ingredients in your kitchen!

Vinegar of the Four Thieves Insect Repellent Ingredients:

  • 1 32 ounce bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 TBSP each of dried Sage, Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme and Mint
  • At least quart size glass jar with airtight lid

How to Make the Vinegar of the Four Thieves Insect Repellent:

1.     Put the vinegar and dried herbs into large glass jar.
2.     Seal tightly and store on counter or place you will see it daily. Shake well each day for 2-3 weeks.
3.     After 2-3 weeks, strain the herbs out and store in spray bottles or tincture bottles, preferably in fridge.
4.     To use on skin, dilute to half with water in a spray bottle and use as needed.
5.     Use whenever you need serious bug control!
[Note: This mixture is very strong and has antiviral and antibacterial properties. It can also be used as a tincture for any illness. For adults, dose is 1 TBSP in water several times a day,for kids over 2, dose is 1 tsp in water several times a day. More on this in an upcoming post!]

Have you noticed the Mosquitos are already out! Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!!

Items needed:
... 1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle

1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)

Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.

PLANTS that repell mosquitos

Citronella is the most normal mosquito repellent plant and is in a lot of commercial merchandise. It performs quite substantially like a candle repellent would. The moment applying citronella it will mask the scent of other attractants to mosquitoes and properly “hide” you from them.
Horsement is a wonderful option if you reside in Texas or surrounding regions. It functions significantly like citronella considering that it has a sturdy scent that will cover attractants of mosquitoes. The explanation that it is good for Texas is since it is rapidly expanding and certainly resistant to drought. It may conveniently develop in dry and sandy locations.
Catnip is universally identified as a plant for cats. But, the plant also doubles as a incredibly handy mosquito repellent. It is simply grown and does not take significantly perform to discover it expanding. Research have been carried out that show that catnip is up to ten occasions extra beneficial at repelling mosquitoes than shop purchased items.

Psychic protection

Psychic protection

We are electromagnetic beings and our bodies are mostly water. Everything in the universe is energy, manifested in infinite forms.
Thoughts, feelings, emotions, words, actions, desires, sand, galaxies and infinite life forms are energy.
Everything anyone thinks, speaks and does affects the whole.
Ours and others’ thoughts, feelings, emotions, words and actions affect our non physical aspect first followed by the physical.
Between the physical world and the non physical is but a very thin layer.
Physical and non physical worlds constantly interact.
Psychic phenomena that we are experiencing through our physical and non physical senses can be triggered and influenced by a huge variety of sources and reasons of both physical and nonphysical nature.

NIACIN (Vitamin B3)   a fascinating, simple, natural supplement  Eat fresh, whole foods, get lots of rest, and most important . . . no drugs, legal or otherwise. Drugs mess up your aura and keep you physically unable to protect yourself.  The main protector for these attacks is your aura. Now, it can protect you from the forces that try to enter. What it cannot protect you from is the weakening you may be doing to it from the inside
Those who often get drunk with alcohol or drugs  It's difficult for anyone to penetrate an aura that is healthy and strong. Auras are weakened by repressed emotions, negative emotions, through the regular use of drugs and alcohol, through smoking cigarettes and a variety of diseases. The physical presence of fungus, parasites, worms, or metal, chemical or atomic poisons can seriously weaken an aura. It's important to understand that all illness begins in the aura and then eventually moves into the physical body. Therefore the care and protection of your energetic body is as important as the physical body so you can repel psychic attacks and stay strong and healthy.
More on this topic can be researched online or energetic  clearings can be done at with Mary Kurus who is specialized in doing clearings and healing on ones Aura."

Note: eating dead foods (cruelty derived animal sourced FOODS ENERGIES, imbued with fear, adrenaline, tormented emotional ENERGIES from the death process of the animal, regardless how the living conditions were, get passed into our EMOTIONAL, MENTAL, PHYSICAL bodies, therefore the importance to feed ourselves with CRUELTY FREE, HIGH VIBRATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL DENSE FRESH/WHOLE FOODS)  Why Psychedelic Drugs aren't recommended and psychic attacks
written by a close friend...

"Psychedelic substances such as Magic Mushrooms, LSD, Cannabis, Mescaline and DMT are extremely powerful. Modern Civilization today lacks the Shamans and experts who can administer these to the population in the right manner. Magic Mushrooms and Mescaline containing cacti can be a major catalyst in spiritual discovery if used a very limited amount of times during ones lifespan and in the right situation under the guidance of a true Shaman. But when easily consumed in excess quantities they can distort our chakras and make holes in our energetic field (Aura) which can lead to Psychic Attacks which are the invasion of negative entities into your being because our defenses are lowered while under the influence. This can be relatively mild to seriously life threatening depending on the specific case. Psychedelics such as LSD should especially be avoided as-well as smoking DMT.
After the Clearing I had, I engaged myself in total sobriety and am now doing Bikram Hot Yoga everyday which I find more powerful than any of these substances combined with proper meditation and spiritual will power. I found that my natural connection with Nature and the Elementals have improved significantly since I quit all intoxicating substances.. It all comes from within... Don't be fooled..
Many lightworkers who get caught up on the wrong path of drug use can become subject to lesser or more serious forms of negative attacks, since those energies only wish to see the fall of such beautiful people. Stay Healthy, fit and sober.. Try some Yoga and explore the paths that don't involve damaging your Aura.   There is a real world good versus evil going on and its very real... Psychedelic drugs are way to offer people the illusion of possibly enlightenment when in reality it is a trap in one way or another. This does not mean that a couple trips with these things are dangerous, they can be rather beneficial but it is easily overdone by the majority that do so...
